The internet opens up new spaces of expression, pages, stories, live broadcasts, podcasts, I find myself reflecting on the meaning of blogging in the current information ecosystem. Is it still necessary to blog? What role do blogs have today? For me the blog continues to make sense for three reasons: The first is that thoughts written on an open platform , at least theoretically, are available to anyone with a link and remain discoverable in the future through search engines. This does not happen for contents posted on social media, closed in a walled garden, and for videos and podcasts, which are currently not fully indexed; The second is that blogs are fundamental for giving space to niche contents.
that are treated superficially or do not find any Canada Phone Number coverage in traditional media; The third is that those who decide to write a blog do so to share reflections that seem useful to them only when they feel the urgency , but without submitting to the often perverse logic of publication that is the basis of professional news sites. I am referring to that need, dictated by the search for traffic at all costs, to fill a site with the most current stories every day, even in the absence of real news. A mechanism which frequently leads to giving space to "fake news" or to exaggerating an irrelevant detail in order to make it become news, thus generating false beliefs in the public.
These considerations refer above all to the use of the blog by individuals for sharing passions, but they could also apply in cases of corporate use if the purpose is not merely promotional. Ultimately, in my opinion, the blog, even today, plays a fundamental role in balancing (or correcting the imbalance) and expanding knowledge within the varied information ecosystem.
